Marita Isobel Solberg is a visual and performing artist and musician working globally from her studio at Troms Fylkeskultursenter in Tromsø, Norway. Currently collaborating on the project “Gangere” together with Charlotte Bendiks, collaborative works through Sol & Sten with Trond Ansten and her intuitive art and music; MARAS and MÀ with Risto Puurunen (Cleaning Women).
Marita will be at a residence in New York City in April and May 2024 at Grace Exhibition Space, this residence is supported by OCA. For autumn 2025 she will curate indigenous Performance Artists for both Grace Exhibition Space and Rosekill Farm. She will be in Portugal in June then Joutsa, Japan, Sisimiut and Sicily. Solberg is preparing new performances, ceramic works, film and other sculptures for new exhibitions.
Summer/autumn 2025 she will arrange the first edition of THE SPACETIME MOVEMENT, a meeting spot and a melting pot for performance art and related art forms happening up north..
